NeuStar today announced that two million domain names have been officially registered within the .BIZ Internet domain. NeuStar is the operator and administrator of the .BIZ top-level domain (TLD) registry, and was awarded the contract by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).

NeuStar Expands Global Reach of .BIZ Domain with Addition of Six New Languages
Finnish, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, and Portuguese Character Sets Now Available to .BIZ Registrants
NeuStar announced the launch of six internationalized domain names (IDNs) for the Finnish, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, and Portuguese languages in the .BIZ top-level Internet domain. Organizations around the world that do business in these languages are now better positioned to grow and gain competitive advantage.
NeuStar has been a pioneer in globalizing the Internet for non-English speakers. IDNs in the .BIZ domain enable companies and organizations worldwide to register domain names in their languages of choice. With the six languages released today, NeuStar currently offers IDN registrations in a total of 15 languages. .BIZ IDNs have been available in Korean since August 2007; in Chinese and Japanese since March 2007; in Spanish, Danish, Icelandic, Norwegian, and Swedish since November 2006; and in German since 2004.

NeuStar Wins Contract for United States' Internet Domain
NeuStar announced that it has been awarded the contract to operate and administer the .US Internet domain name registry. The official country-code top level domain (ccTLD) for the United States, .US is overseen by the United States Department of Commerce. The original .US registry contract was awarded to NeuStar in June 2001, and is due to expire on October 25, 2007. The new contract term is for a base of three years beginning October 26, 2007, with the possibility of two one-year extensions.

NeuStar Launches Korean Language Domain Names in .BIZ TLD
NeuStar announced that it has deployed internationalized domain names (IDNs) for the Korean language in the .BIZ top-level Internet domain as of August 19, 2007. IDNs in .BIZ enable companies and for-profit organizations worldwide to register domain names in their languages of choice using Unicode characters that are not available in ASCII.

NeuStar Announces Significant Wholesale Price Reductions For KIDS.US Registrars
NeuStar announced that it has significantly decreased the wholesale cost of all KIDS.US domain name registrations and Content Management Subscriptions, and is launching a rebate program to promote increased awareness and usage of the KIDS.US space.

NeuStar announced today that it has deployed five new international domain name (IDN) language scripts in the .BIZ top-level Internet domain. The new offerings include Spanish, Danish, Icelandic, Norwegian and Swedish; NeuStar has offered .BIZ IDNs in German script since 2004.

NeuStar announced today that it has successfully renegotiated its agreement with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to maintain operational and administrative control of the registry for the .BIZ global top-level domain (gTLD).

Universal "Digital Address" Available for Individuals and Businesses in Support of OASIS XRI Standards
Cordance, the corporate administrator for the i-names global namespace, and NeuStar, Inc. (NYSE: NSR), a leading provider of essential communications services to the global communications and Internet industry, announced today that the Global Registry Service for i-names will officially open today at 7:00 PM EDT, (23:00 GMT). Individuals and businesses will be able to establish a "digital address" for themselves that will help them protect their identity and privacy, as well as provide a spam-safe means to be contacted over the Internet. NeuStar will operate the i-names Global Registry Service (GRS).
